Under Sanjay Khan, Bali had also played the role of the anti-hero Duryodhan in the mini-mythological series Mahakavya Mahabharat (2001). In 1997, Nimai had donned the roles of three mythical characters, namely, Jalandhar, Shani and Duryodhan in the TV series Oh Namah Shivay. In 2011, Nimai played the role of the anti-hero Raavan in another mythological show called Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali. Other than mythological and fantasy series, Nimai has also acted generally as a villain in numerous television serials. A few of them are Bhabhi, Kumkum, Doli Sajaa Ke Rakhna and Amber Dhara, Yug, Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan, Rishto Se Badi Pratha, and Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. He had appeared in a positive role of a sleuth in the popular Sony channel program CID Special Bureau. In one of the latter serials Bani- Ishq Da Kalma, he plays the role of an NRI husband who abandons his wife in India to settle abroad. The serial, which is set in Punjab, addresses this common social issue of Punjab where husbands leave their wives and settle abroad.
